Connect your free TMDB account

Neo Home TV gets posters, descriptions, cast and where-to-watch from The Movie Database (TMDB). Each TV uses its owner's own free TMDB key. It takes about two minutes, once.

    Create a free TMDB account

    Go to themoviedb.org/signup and confirm your email.

    Open the API settings

    Log in, click your avatar, then Settings, then API. Choose Create, then Developer.

    Fill in the short form

    Type: Personal. Application name: Neo Home TV (personal). URL: neohometv.app. Summary: "Movie and show information on my own TV." TMDB also asks for your name and contact details. Accept the terms.

    Copy your key

    Copy the line labelled API Key (32 letters and numbers). The longer API Read Access Token works too.

Your key is checked with TMDB, handed to your TV once, then deleted from our server. It stays on your TV only.

This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. Skip this step and Neo Home TV still opens your apps and shows Continue watching; movie and show rows appear once TMDB is connected.
